About the Author: Daniel Goldin nació en México en 1958. Es editor, ensayista y bibliotecario. Ha dedicado más de cuatro décadas a la edición de libros, especialmente los dirigidos a niños y jóvenes, así como a la investigación y discusión sobre los usos y políticas de la palabra escrita. Dirigió la Biblioteca Vasconcelos en la Ciudad de México durante casi seis años. Es fundador de la asociación civil Jardín Lac. En 2019 recibió el Premio Nacional Juan Pablos al Mérito Editorial otorgado por la Cámara Nacional de la Industria Editorial Mexicana. Su más reciente libro es La música de las bibliotecas. Política y la poetica de el espacio publico.

Daniel Goldin was born in Mexico in 1958. He is an editor, essayist and librarian. He has dedicated more than four decades to publishing books, especially those aimed at children and young people, as well as research and discussion on the uses and policies of the written word. He directed the Vasconcelos Library in Mexico City for almost six years. He is founder of the Jardín Lac civil association. In 2019 he received the Juan Pablos National Award for Editorial Merit awarded by the National Chamber of the Mexican Publishing Industry. His most recent book is The Music of Libraries. Politics and poetics of a public space.
