For full title see image of title page. Latin edition. Appealing vellum boards with ribbed spine; including gilt decorative lines and titles; the latter against a deep red background. Stained edges. Tight binding (to the extent of taking internal photos difficult/inadvisable). Typography: two column pages with copious footnotes. In a sound condition for a book published over three centuries ago. Condition-related aspects (externally) to note: the boards are in good shape but a little bit frayed at the joints with the book's spine. The vellum covering of the latter's ribbed sections is also rubbed. Condition-related aspects (internally) to note: the front pastedown board, while still attached, is loose from the book block - see image. There is also some ink and pencil scribbling visible of previous owners/sellers. General tanning with occasional spotting throughout; especially at the margins - but the text and footnotes remain clear, crisp and easy to read (NB footnote font size is miniscule). pp. 518 (+ unpaginated Preface + Index Rerum & Index Latinitatis, and note that the Supplement follows the preface (pp. 1-17)/32mo.
