Synopsis:
February 1865 - a Confederate Congressman hires Basil Tarleton, a psychotic and deadly master assassin to kill the Union by assassinating President Abraham Lincoln, in Washington, DC. Special agent Jack Tanner is dispatched by Jefferson Davis to stop him and avert "The Curse of Cain" being brought down on the South forever. What follows is an intriguing game of cat and mouse, hunter and hunted, weaving actual history with page turning fiction surrounding the most infamous assassination in American history. Was John Wilkes Booth a lone gunman? What was his real mission? And what about the missing pages in his diary that were never found? Was there a cover-up?
