Paperback. Each summer for the past ten years I have written a "Summer Series," that has been published in a local paper. This past year ( 2017) I started "The Curious Life of Marci Bell," a story about a 12 years old girl who was sold to a family to be the bride of their 17 year old son.The story is set in the 1920's here in North Florida and is losely based on a true story. The real story had been told to me many years ago by a women who actually had been sold for that very reason when she was 12 years old. When she told me her story and the many turns and bends of her life I became fascinated with what she said and thought at the time, her life had certainly been the makings of an epic novel and at the least extraordinary.I pondered for a long time how to write such a story and last year I decided it would become a summer series. In "Part One," the young girl, Marci Bell is sold for corn, two pregnant sows, two barrels of syrup and some moonshine whisky to be the wife of a 17 year-old man This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…
