Paperback. "A whimsical, suspenseful adventure that weaves mystery and magic into a heartfelt exploration of sibling bonds." - Kirkus Reviews "This is a quirky, lighthearted adventure that incorporates clever cats, curious youngsters, aliens, zombies, and other disasters with weightier themes of friendship and family connection. Eatons manages a tone of whimsy and wit, with brisk prose and elements of suspense that lock in readers' attention." - The BookLife Prize Siblings Marlow and Zach Metzler are curious about everything - asteroid-bound space probes, pirate ships in the woods, abandoned hotels hidden high in the mountains. Leo, a neighborhood cat, is curious about nothing - not pizza slices, not peacock feathers, not even laser pointers (especially not laser pointers). But when all the birds in their neighborhood vanish and insects can't find their way home, the three face a mystery neither can solve by themselves. As they race to find a missing teacher and stop a possible alien invasion, Marlow, Zach, and Leo must lead a ragtag band of new friends and kitty commandos against zombies, monster cats, and earthquakes to save their town and maybe, the world!
