Durchgehend mit schwarz-weißen und wenigen Abbildungen versehen. Jan Slothouber, der 1918 geborene und 2007 verstorbene Architekt und ehemalige Professor an der Technischen Universität Eindhoven entwickelte von 1950 bis 1970 zusammen mit William Graatsma (1925 - 2017) ein "Würfel"-Designsystem für die Staatsmijnen (später DSM; Koninklijke DSM N.V. mit Sitz in Heerlen in den Niederlanden).
