Paperback. The Big Hill looks impossibly tall - and Cubby isn't sure he's brave enough to climb it.When his friends Pippin the rabbit and Moss the tortoise invite him on an adventure to the very top, Cubby's tummy does a nervous flip. As the path grows steep and his paws feel wobbly, he becomes certain he's the only one who feels afraid. But with Mama's gentle reminder - "Just go as far as feels brave for you today" - and his friends climbing patiently beside him, Cubby discovers a quiet kind of courage: the kind that whispers, "I'm scared. but I can take one more step."Cubby the Capybara and the Big Hill is a warm, reassuring picture book about facing big feelings, building resilience, and learning that being brave doesn't mean you aren't afraid - it means taking one small step anyway. With softly illustrated woodland scenes and a tender read-aloud rhythm, it's a comforting companion for any child standing at the bottom of their own "big hill."Perfect for bedtime, for calming worries and nervous moments, and for gentle conversations about courage and emotions.Themes: courage, friendship, perseverance, managing fear and anxiety, emotional growth, and social-emotional learning (SEL).Ages 3-7 - A heartfelt addition to The Capybara Series, written and illustrated by Craig Lingard.
