There are plenty of books on crypto investing that are nothing but hype. This book is different. This book is for people who take their portfolio seriously and don’t tolerate snake oil. This book covers everything you need to know to approach the crypto space like a conservative investor. This doesn’t mean you never take risks. But it does mean that any risks you do take are calculated, deliberate and rational.
We start by looking at monetary history and seeing where crypto fits into the bigger picture and potentially our monetary future. That’s the upside that usually fuels the hype machine. But then we bring it back down to earth by covering all the dirty little secrets of the crypto space. From technological challenges, to internal politics, to government regulation, to pointless buzzwords. No asset is kept safe from a proper critique of its fundamentals (including and especially Bitcoin).
We develop a series of filters for evaluating crypto assets and keeping out the trash. We examine specific crypto assets to understand the value they provide (or don’t), the niches they serve and the risks that they face. Only then can we have a realistic view of risk versus reward and make wise decisions about where to put our hard-earned money.
If you’re ready to approach crypto like an investor instead of a gambler, this is the book for you.
