It keeps your step light and your head high.When you are a member of a big family and have many friends as well, someone is always in crisis, it seems. So there is always something to write about.These stories are mainly fiction—fictionized truth, I'll call them. They were written against grain, you might say, for I am not a fiction writer.Yet, my writing teacher always maintained that, opposed to nonfiction, fiction was FREEDOM. Coupled with imagination, anything can happen. Points can be made, truth more clearly defined. So I wrote them for her and she said, “Indeed, you have proven my point.” They are old stories, but the truths they tell, I'm hoping will never be old.
