THE MULE
The Mule eats and drinks and breathes;
The Mule is Strong and in stubborn control;
The Mule kicks and bites hard;
The Mule, although sterile, produces its own kind.
THE FRACTURED SOUL
The fractured soul is lying at the feet of the Mule.
SIMPLICITY
The life of simplicity is the ideal. The masses may clamor for intricacy and demand that you toe the line, but they are in a trance and are blind.
Novelty is their coat of arms. They are not quenched although inundated by it. Alexander Solgzhenitzen bristled against novelty as a way of life and condemned it soundly. Leo Tolstoy, in War and Peace, extolled the virtues of a simple life and of helping others.
Simplicity is holy in that it indicates a whole view, a satisfaction in life without the rash trimmings that the fractured insist are necessary or die.
THE MYSTERY OF GOD
You are in the mystery of God; you are a part of it, but you are not required to or have true need to deduce what it is.
You are only human, not superhuman. You are not meant to know the mystery of God. Struggle is between superhuman and subhuman.
Do not struggle over trying to figure this out, just live inside of the mystery and its wonder.
Stop making things up. Fakery is the slippery companion. It is the byproduct of a fractured soul. It is desparate fruit painted onto an imagined tree.
In the world, there is a presumption of fakery as most people are faking it. Only the degree differs.
As you will discover, the commonest example of false behavior is in language, in wording, in speaking. Flagrant and shameless posturing and conning reside there in a hard attempt to heal that fractuted state.
The con job on the mystery of God is most prevalent. That is why most people do not attend religious services.
You are right to run away from the con job and the fakery but not to run from the mystery of God which is unknowable.
A man can be in wonder of the mystery of a woman, and to him, it is unknowable. Vice verse is also so. But infinitely more so is it with the mystery of God.
Trance behavior over this subject describes the state of affairs in both North Korea and Iran but they are on opposite extremes. North Korea is in the atheist trance and Iran is in a theist trance. Both are faking it because they are stuck in a juvenile level.
MYSTERY
A Red Giant is coming. It is going to swallow up all that we know.
How can this be and how can we deal with such a horrible prospect on the way to work tomorrow morning? How can we not be fatally distracted?
I tell you now that the Red Giant is coming. But it is not arriving soon. Therefore, you can drive the drive carefree unless the MYSTERY of it all robs you.
The sun is at least 4 billion years old, probably much more. Your trip to the job is not disturbed by the prospect of what was there before the sun was there because it is too remote and past influencing things today.
Some distant time, billions more years no doubt, that same sun that is the throne of light and lightness and warmth will begin to run out of hydrogen to convert by fusion into helium. As it occurs, the volume of the sun will be increased so as to engulf the Earth.
It will be called a Red Giant.
Its meaning and the profound implications are and have to remain a mystery even though the physics of it are embraceable.
God is at work in this; he is also God the destroyer which concept mankind tries to exclude in his obsession with "goodness" and ideals. God's hand in this phenomenon is not a conscious one. The Act of God that we term a "tornado" which destroys a church, killing innocent children inside, is not a conscious force. When we are told that "God loves you", it is merely figurative and reflective of the "miracle" that our lives seem to be, pain and all.
Phrases such as "The Glory of God" or "To love God" or "In God we trust" are figurative and merely an acknowledgment that we are not superhuman or subhuman, both states manufactured by child maltreatment.
Subhuman or superhuman souls cannot become whole by just deciding. It is impossible and is an ultimate life-lie. The path to wholeness is revealed hereinafter.
The world struggle to grasp a God that kills children in an Act of God proves that it is in a juvenile state, a fractured state, a world by-magic-state instead of a whole-state, a world-by-logic-state.
EVIL
Evil is mental illness and not more. Mental illness includes all known mental disorders.
Mental disorders can be caused by organic causes such as genetic factors, biochemical irregularities, injuries to the nervous system and the like.
They can also be caused by circumstances and events that befall a person. The most common mental disorders rooted in factors that are not organic in origin are those exhibited by the abused, mistreated, neglected child.
Mental diseases such as those seen in that kind of child and when he or she is grown up can spring into existance in a healthy, normal family when something goes wrong in that family that is not itself tied to child abuse or neglect such as accidental death or disappearance of a parent (or both parents). Or a spontaneous appearance of a mental disease of the organic kind in a parent can lead to rearing circumstances that are abusive or neglectful. From such a point onward, the new specimen of child abuse or neglect related disorders has an infinite future life of its own and is the first new link in a coming chain of misery if no interception factor is had such as death without children to pass it on to, or, such as recovery thru grief work to wholeness.
Evil is not the product of all mental disorders. Many have effects that are trouble or toublesome, but are not what one would deem evil.
On the other hand, things such as murder, rape, lying, stealing, fraud, betrayal, false imprisonment, torture and any other thing that is commonly thought of as being evil are all caused by mental illness and the offspring thereof, the mind and antics of the abused and neglected child grown up and carrying rage and anger and turmoil.
Throngs have wrung their hands forever over the query: why is there evil? What is the reason that it pervades and perplexes mankind? What purpose is the struggle of good and evil possibly aimed at?
All of such questions ignore the obvious. Evil, mental illness in action, child abuse and neglect in action, exist as a natural phenomenon in human beings. There is no more plan or role or purpose for evil than for lightning or the rise of mountains. It just is.
SATAN
Satan is not a creature or a being. Satan is a character portrayed in the Bible and elsewhere as the embodiment of evil.
Satan is only a metaphor and not more. The troubles in the world are caused by human beings, not by a metaphor. Humans labor under the pain and strife of surviving on Earth. Only recently in history has that life been fairly easy whereas for most of time, sudden death, starvation, violence, etc. were daily companions and human beings were bewildered to say the least. Add such plights as lightning, floods, any other nonhuman factor that exacerbated that strife, and you have all the role characteristics needed to invent Satan.
Mental disorders produce the conduct that is labelled as "Evil". Satan is the being that metaphorically stands for same.
HOLINESS
Holiness is not created. It is inborn and either flourishes or is supressed by others or by disease or accident.
Holiness is not conferred by any entity like a church or a movement.
Jesus Christ was holy;
Mohammed was holy;
Mother Theresa was holy;
Abraham was holy;
Moses was holy;
Budda was holy;
Ghandi was holy;
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was holy;
Many others were and are holy.
WHAT DOES HOLINESS MEAN?
Holiness is a state of transparent selflessness. It can be experienced as a way towards others or a hermit can be holy. Even though the ego strives for safety, nourishiment, other mundane needs, the primary conscious focus is on the good of others or other things. When such a way is focused onto others without regard for personal safety or fear or risk, or for an idea or ideal, that is a kind of holiness known as heroism or heroinism.
Behind one's eyes lies a place that is the center of self. Most persons are off that center, a little or a lot. Holy people are living at all times in the center of themselves.
It might be easy to confuse selflessness with worthlessness, that state induced by parents who shame and violate. One without self esteem lets others use him, abuse him. The holy person often allows, unanswered, comments meant to hurt him and does so from a higher up position to see what is really meant. It is pain talking. But he is never the enabler and never hurtful himself to others. Restraint can look like cowardice. Jesus, when slapped, turns the other cheek to teach a potent lesson. The worthless person who does the same does this in shock, grief, in a worthless frame of mind.
LIFE ON EARTH
Resignation to life on Earth is an ideal. Life on Earth exists in a form that it must take by nature. Certain aspects can be improved by human endeavor, but by and large, the way of things on this planet is set.
While acceptance and resignation to this is an ideal, acceptance of unholiness is an antiideal.
The nature of life contains suffering and the encountering of suffering and pain. However, that nature is not to include or cause suffering that springs from unholiness.
Such a consideration springs at the start from unavoidable biological phenomena, but the passing on of its effects to the innocent is avoidable and cureable. Resistance to same is unholy.
Mankind is confronted on Earth by "storms" of two kinds which are the:
inner: mental illness and its offspring, child mistreatment, both causing the human turmoil that seems permanent;
outer: lightning, fires, earthquakes, hurricanes, droughts, floods, volcanoes, meteors (meteorites), predators (beasts) and pests (ie., insects);
His nature to be holy, selfless, is tested in the face of such a litany of challenges but that resignation does not infringe on such nature in the eternal sense. Every new baby is holy and capable of a holy life ( childhood ego-dealing aside ) on Earth.
Life on Earth does not include "miracles" in the world-by-magic sense. Amazing phenomena might seem like miracles but they are not by magic.
Cerebralization, especially cerebralization about God, is the most common device for the fractured, the "subhuman" or "superhuman" soul, and first arose in the face of inconsistent or incomprehensible events. Such things encountered in life are mirrored by the same kinds of acts or events with one's parents who are fractured souls.
PRAYERS AND PRAYING
Offering of prayers or praying is:
a. Focusing,
b. Consciousness raising, or
c. An act of community with others present or contemplated.
It is not a means to otherwise change the future; it is not supernatural and you do not have supernatural powers thru prayers or any other way. You are just human. You are not superhuman, or subhuman, although you can easily be convinced otherwise by reason of the pain of others that you were forced to carry beginning in infancy.
Although normal persons can resort to praying as a means of focusing or raising consciousness or as an act of community, prayer is most often a repetition by an adult, stuck in a juvenile state, of acts of secret hope whispered in the dark during childhood that the mistreating or neglectful parents would somehow see and give up the false conduct and love that child unconditionally.
That behavior repetition is aimed, not at the parents anymore, but at other events or persons causing distress to that child now grown up. Such a phenomenon is separate thing from the resorting to the supernatural by the juvenile-state mind.
Acting at a human level and imploring God to change events is still "world by magic" because no little, four-year old girl ever got run over and killed by a dump truck because somebody did not pray. Praying as a way to change independent events or states is a delusion of grandeur by a "Superhuman" mind.
DYING
Dying viewed internally is not the same as viewed in any other way.
There comes an ultimate sweetness to the dying in the state of dying which defies living understanding. It meets all at the threshold as a grand gladness. It's naturality and beholding is compelling beyond all ken.
Daydream or vision brings the essence of it: flesh melting away, bones left, Earth triumpant be it as burial or surface, never in the way of a nourishment phase.
The living possessor of such cannot and will not know the unknowable, the great mystery. There is no ultimate meaning nor mystery in living life but only in its origin and that of the nonlife universe.
EARTH
Go to a place of freshly turned earth. Smell it. Go down to your knees and feel it.
The earth supports you. It feeds you. It will take you in the end no matter what.
FEAST
Life is a feast. After a while, you are full. You do not want any more no matter what. This assumes, of course, that you are a whole person and not befallen by premature demise.
If you are a fractured person who never ventured down the road to recovery thru grief work and a reclaiming of your authentic self, you will resist the end of the feast and even thoughts about it. The hole in your existance has never been filled and never will absent return to the center of yourself and resumption of the experience of being alive before it was tainted by abuse and neglect.
THE MEANING OF RELIGION
The word "religion" comes from two Latin words that mean "thing" and "tie" or "connection" and has been interpreted to signify that which connects or connects back to the beginning.
What most persons think of when they hear the word is the display of cerebralizations that is the opium of the masses. Man's seemingly inexhaustable ability to explain a way that which scares him or confounds him or delights him has resulted in millenia of fantastic invention.
Whatever the role that the mystery of God has in religion, religion does not have room for guesswork or blatant proclamations on the unknowable. "Faith" is a concept often mentioned by people who believe that it has a place in religion. Faith is the belief in a thing without actual proof and is contrasted to something believed because experience has shown it to be so. Why would anyone want or need to believe something as serious and significant as that preached by traditional religious movements? The answer is desparation. Long ago, that state of mind was prompted by all the unexplained events eroding man's peace of mind. Nowadays, much simpler concerns, still grave, are behind the wielding of "faith". A good example is the question of why we are here or what made us or what is the meaning of life. Any such queries that cannot be met with actual proof are put in the faith bin and supported that way.
