Black publisher's cloth with red titles on cover and spine. In the original un-clipped dust jacket with a photo of the author on the cover. Top and tail of spine has small chips, but now looks very nice in a Brodart sleeve. Insides clean and unmarked. A memoir of the author's youth and years as a lawyer in England in the first two decades of the last century, including a chapter called ?Some Judges? and another, ?Two Poisoners.?
