About this Item
The Macmillan Company, NY, 1917. Medium blue cloth with illustration in dark blue. Title in gilt to spine. Inscribed on the free end page: 'To C. K. "A nice little girl." from A. W. B. March 10, 1920.' I believe this was written by Annie Besant, as it matches handwriting samples found online. Tagore is known to have visited the Besant Theosophical College in Andhra Pradesh, in 1919, where he translated the lyrics of the Indian national anthem. Seller Inventory # 000820
