About the Author
His previous work includes an acclaimed run on Daredevil and Spider-Man: Life Story for Marvel, and he’s the illustrator of Image Comics’ Sex Criminals―an Eisner Award winning series and New York Times Bestseller (despite all the penis jokes).
John Arcudi is an American comic book writer, best known for his work on The Mask and B.P.R.D., and his series Major Bummer. He's currently working on RUMBLE for Image Comics. Arcudi grew up in Buffalo, New York.
Hailing from the small town of Prescott, Jeremy graduated from the University of Arizona and promptly moved to Los Angeles to pursue his entertainment industry dream. After working as a writer and producer on several animated shows, Jeremy rose to notoriety with his high-concept ideas and intense love of action and comedy. His was the brainchild of the much-lauded Scooby-Doo / Supernatural crossover that is still considered one of the best episodes of this long-running CW series. “Scoobynatural” premiered to thousands of fans at the Kodak Theatre during PaleyFest to huge acclaim.
The crossover was so successful, that the producers of Supernatural asked Adams to write for the 15th and final season of the beloved show. Jeremy joined the writing staff as a story editor, where he penned two solo episodes. He became a “fan favorite” for his fast-paced and humorous scripts, gaining him the hashtag #nicestguyinhollywood within the online Supernatural community. After writing several very successful films for LEGO and DC, LEGO also asked Jeremy to produce, write, and story edit their new original show called Monkie Kid. The cultural partnership took Adams to China to develop the show and participate in a documentary about its making with their international partners.
Abroad, Monkie Kid has been a massive success, with the first “special” reaching over fifty million viewers within the first week of release.
Adams quickly began to apply his craft to the delight of adult animation fans, writing the critically acclaimed Mortal Kombat Legends: Scorpion’s Revenge, which is currently the highest-grossing DTV for Warner Bros. Working closely with artist and legend Bruce Timm, Adams also wrote Batman: Soul of the Dragon and went on to write movies such as Batman and Superman, Battle of the Supersons, Mortal Kombat Legends: Cage Match, as well as co-writing both Justice League Warworld and Justice Society: World War II.
Though his free time is limited, Adams also enjoys fulfilling a lifelong dream of writing comics, first with a beloved 30 plus run of issues on the Flash, and now as the writer for the ongoing Green Lantern. Coming up, he’ll be taking the reigns of Mad Cave’s relaunch of FLASH GORDON!
With many other animated movies and shows on the horizon, Jeremy is always writing and creating new projects, all of which possess unbeatable action and plenty of heart.
Philip Fracassi is the author of the novels Don’t Let Them Get You Down, A Child Alone with Strangers, Gothic, Boys in the Valley and The Third Rule of Time Travel. His upcoming books include the novels Sarafina and The Autumn Springs Retirement Home Massacre.
Other work includes the story collections No One Is Safe!, Beneath a Pale Sky (named “Best Collection of the Year” by Rue Morgue Magazine and a finalist for the Bram Stoker award), and Behold the Void (named “Best Collection of the Year” by This Is Horror). He is also the author of several novellas, including Sacculina, Shiloh, Commodore and D7. His short stories have been published in numerous magazines and anthologies, including Best Horror of the Year, Nightmare Magazine, Black Static, Dark Discoveries, Cemetery Dance, and others.
Philip’s books are translated into multiple languages and have been favorably reviewed in The New York Times, LOCUS Magazine, Rue Morgue and many other magazines, blogs and review sites. He has published deluxe editions of his work with respected publishers such as Zagava, Cemetery Dance, Thunderstorm Books, Earthling Publications, and Lividian Press.
The New York Times called his work “terrifically scary.”
As a screenwriter, his feature films have been distributed by Disney Entertainment and Lifetime Television, with several projects in various stages of development. He is also the author of a children’s book, The Boy with the Blue Rose Heart, and a book of poetry, Tomorrow’s Gone.
You can also follow him on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (@philipfracassi).
Philip lives in Los Angeles, California, and is represented by Elizabeth Copps at Copps Literary Services, Circle of Confusion, and WME.
Joel Farrelly is an author known for Tell Me a Story.
