What if peace wasn’t something children had to be told to create…
What if they could discover it for themselves?
CREATING PEACE is an empowering children’s story inspired by real-life events and part of the You Are a Powerful Creator, My Little One™ series.
When seven-year-old André experiences conflict and stress at home, his loving mother gently guides him through a series of thoughtful questions to help him discover something powerful:
What peace feels like inside his own heart.
As André begins recognizing peace within himself, something unexpected happens — he discovers he has the power to help create more peace in his home, with his siblings, and wherever he goes.
Rather than telling children what to think or how to behave, this story models a different approach:
Empowerment through quality questions.
Through warm storytelling and colorful illustrations, children are invited to explore emotions, self-awareness, emotional regulation, personal responsibility, and the powerful role they play in shaping the atmosphere around them.
Included inside:
• Highlighted quality questions used throughout the story to help guide meaningful conversations with children
• 10 Ways to Empower the Children in Your Stewardship — practical ideas for parents, caregivers, educators, and mentors
• A gentle introduction to emotional awareness, self-reflection, and creating peace from the inside out
Perfect for:
• Parents and grandparents
• Teachers and counselors
• Homeschool families
• Classrooms and social-emotional learning
• Bedtime conversations that matter
At its heart, Creating Peace reminds children of something deeply important:
They are not powerless.
They have the ability to pause, reflect, and help create more peace — first in their hearts, then in their homes, and ultimately in the world around them.
Because peace doesn’t begin somewhere “out there.”
Sometimes…
It begins with one child.
A Note from André:
"Unlocking peace within my heart feels like a superpower! Anytime I feel stressed or need a quiet space to think, I can go into that peaceful place inside me and get clear and focused. I’ve had opportunities to create peace at home, at school, and wherever I go. When I create peace at home, everybody benefits — and sometimes Mom and Dad are even more likely to say yes to things… that’s a bonus! Help me create more peace in the world by discovering what peace feels like in your own heart."
— André
Part of the Empowered Hearts™ collection, this story supports children and families in building emotional awareness, personal responsibility, and empowered connection from the inside out.
