This manual presents all the features of HTML 4. It focuses on how to refresh Web sites by including video, sound and animation. The CD is cross-platform, and contains a selection on Web pages, demos, freeware and shareware tools.
You don't have to be a rocket scientist...I remember when I started to learn how to write Web pages. It was a nightmare, with precious little documentation. Now we have a plethora of books and reference works, but let's face it, almost all of them are written by people who know how to program but can't communicate their way out of a paper bag. :-)
That's why I wrote the original Creating Cool Web Pages back in 1995, and have since revised it for HTML 3.2, and now again for HTML 4.0. It's been featured in computer book clubs, translated into a half-dozen different languages, and received sterling reviews ever since.
Most importantly, however, some of the best Web site designers - people just like you and me - acknowledge this book as the one that really got them started online.
