Simple Techniques to Help Children Manage Stress and Build Emotional Resilience
In today’s fast-paced world, children face a variety of stresses—whether it’s the pressures of school, changes in routine, or even the emotional ups and downs of growing up. Creating Calm in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 introduces children aged 5-10 to simple yet effective relaxation and grounding techniques that help them manage their feelings and behaviors with ease. This engaging, child-friendly guide teaches kids how to use their five senses to become mindful of their surroundings and calm their bodies and minds in moments of stress.
In this book, your child will learn:
- Relaxation techniques using the 5 senses: Discover how to focus on what’s around them by tapping into their senses of sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste—transforming ordinary moments into opportunities for calm.
- Grounding exercises for mindfulness: Learn how to use simple grounding methods that help children stay focused and present, reducing anxiety and enhancing their ability to handle big emotions.
- Managing emotions and behaviors: Help your child understand how to cope with feelings like frustration, worry, and anger by bringing their attention to the present moment and releasing negative emotions.
- Simple, practical coping strategies: Provide tools that children can use anytime—whether in a stressful situation, at school, or before bedtime—to help them feel in control, centered, and confident.
What makes this book special:
- Beautiful illustrations and a calming narrative: With vibrant visuals and an easy-to-understand approach, Creating Calm engages children with fun activities that promote emotional well-being.
