nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Crayons Taste Like Purple is a playful, imaginative adventure about Felix, a curious boy who discovers that words don't always mean exactly what they say. When Felix hears that someone 'spilled the beans,' he does what any perfectly reasonable kid might do-he imagines beans spilling everywhere. A 'piece of cake' sounds delicious. 'Break the ice' seems like it might require a hammer. And when someone says it's 'raining cats and dogs,' Felix's imagination really takes off. With the help of Professor Owl and his friends, Felix discovers the wonderful world of idioms-expressions whose meanings can be very different from the words themselves. Along the way, everyday phrases become colorful adventures filled with humor, surprises, and plenty of opportunities for young readers to guess what each expression really means. But Felix learns something even more important: understanding words is only part of the fun. Sometimes the most ordinary things become extraordinary when you look at them with imagination.Warm, funny, and richly illustrated, Crayons Taste Like Purple introduces children to figurative language in a way that feels like a story rather than a lesson. It encourages curiosity, creative thinking, and a love of words while giving parents and children plenty to talk-and laugh-about together.Perfect for read-aloud time, classrooms, and young readers beginning to explore the strange and wonderful ways we use language, Crayons Taste Like Purple is a celebration of words, imagination, and seeing more in the world than what is right in front of you.Same words. New worlds.…
