Cracks in My Container is the second book in The Container Series, a heartfelt collection of illustrated stories that help children explore big feelings, discover self-worth, and see beauty in every part of themselves.
In The Container, a little one arrived from the sky inside their glowing container — a symbol of the soul, the heart, and the unique story each of us carries. But in this new chapter, something unexpected happens. Cracks begin to appear.
At first, the little one tries to cover the cracks, to pretend they aren’t there. They hide them behind smiles and laughter. They try to be tough and tell themselves it’s “no big deal.” But the cracks keep showing up, and the harder they try to ignore them, the heavier it feels.
That’s when the little one begins to learn: cracks don’t mean broken. They are proof of growth, resilience, and light shining through.
✨ This story gently teaches children:
Everyone has cracks — struggles, hurts, and challenges — and that’s okay.
Cracks don’t take away value; they make us who we are.
Sometimes our cracks even let more light out, showing our beauty to the world.
We are never alone, because every person has their own container with its own story.
With warm, hand-drawn illustrations and simple, poetic language, Cracks in My Container creates a safe space for children to talk about feelings of vulnerability, sadness, or self-doubt. The story guides young readers toward hope, acceptance, and the truth that they are whole — even with cracks.
⭐ Perfect for:
Bedtime reading and gentle family conversations
Teachers and classrooms exploring social-emotional learning (SEL)
Children experiencing change, challenges, or loss
Parents looking for uplifting, spiritual, or mindful stories to share
Anyone who needs a reminder that their cracks don’t make them less, they make them shine
Like a lantern glowing brighter through its cracks, Cracks in My Container helps children see that their light will always shine through. It is a story of self-acceptance, compassion, and the courage to hold onto your container — no matter what.
This second book builds on the themes of The Container and continues the journey of teaching children that life is a gift, love is always present, and their story is worth holding onto. And it won’t stop here — more books in The Container Series will guide children as they grow, learning, loving, and discovering new ways to make their containers shine brighter.
Because even with cracks, your container is still whole. And always filled with light.
children’s books about self-esteem, resilience books for kids, picture books about emotions, mindfulness children’s books, social-emotional learning (SEL), books about kindness, spiritual kids’ books.
