Paperback. The New Testament, like never before. In this astounding follow-up to Deciphering the Gospels Proves Jesus Never Existed, R. G. Price walks through a detailed analysis of the New Testament to develop an entirely new framework for understanding the origins of the Christian scriptures.Compelling evidence shows that the canonical narratives are modified versions of earlier stories that were much different in character. Analysis of the New Testament reveals that the original narratives were hostile to the twelve disciples and that John the Baptist played a much larger role in earlier versions of the storyline. Price demonstrates that the works of the New Testament were collectively edited and revised in the second century to conform to a specific set of proto-orthodox claims about the humanity of Jesus.Ultimately, Price concludes that all Christian literature can be traced back to one small collection of fictional stories that were inspired by accounts of the First Jewish-Roman War produced by the Jewish historian Josephus. The original stories were reinterpreted and expanded upon over time, developing into a vast array of Christian literature, of which the New Testament is only a late subset. This book will forever change the field of biblical studies and everything we thought we knew about Jesus. A paradigm shift in biblical scholarship, presenting compelling evidence that all Christian literature originated after the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 CE. This item is printed on demand.
