Green boards with design, white lettering on spine. lxxxi; 300 pp. The author Henry Howard, Esq., R.A., was Secretary and Trustee, and professor of painting to the Royal Academy. Edited, with a memoir of the author, by Frank Howard. Chapters are a series of 6 lectures plus an index. Poor. Obvious shelf wear, discoloration spots on covers. Spine faded. Sticker inside front cover. Pencil marking on first couple pages and in text. Significant foxing and other soiling on many pages; some creasing of corners, rips or small pieces missing along edges. Some pages creased/a couple of pages ripped and rubbing near binding. Some deckled edging slightly frayed. A couple of pages unopened. However, despite the flaws the text is still readable.
