Paperback. Talking about your kids' schedule is easy, but discussing money, beliefs, and how to parent your children is where most marriages get stuck. This book will change that. "I absolutely love this book. It is an incredibly useful handbook for couples to build the essential aspects of their relationship together." - Dr. John Gottman, World's Leading Relationship Expert, on the Couples Conversations series If you have ever circled the same money argument for years, parented from two different playbooks, or quietly wondered whether you still share the same vision for your future, you are not alone, and you are not broken. These are the deeper differences underneath most marital conflicts, and over time those subtle differences in values, beliefs, money histories, and family visions quietly erode connection and build fights and resentments. This book, created by Dr. Ari Sytner, LCSW, holding the highest level of certification from the Gottman Institute, gives you the very conversations that successful couples all have. It is designed in a way that discussing differences in beliefs or core values don't have to divide a couple, but can actually bring them closer. Deepen Your Connection is the 4th and standalone book in the series, which gives you 300 expert-crafted and research-based questions that open the conversations shaping your marriage. No longer do you have to dance around or avoid these uncomfortable topics, as the book does the work for you and sets you up for clean and comfortable explorations and discussions that aim to deepen your relationship. The book includes: Money and Finances: spending styles, money origin stories, debt, dreams, and what financial security means to each of youParenting and Family: views on discipline, family culture, screens, and the parents you want to become togetherValues and Beliefs: purpose, honesty, forgiveness, and the principles you each brought into this marriageFaith and Meaning: spirituality, religion, community, what you believe, and how to bridge differencesThis book is for you if: You are engaged or newly married and want to build on the same foundationYou are raising kids and realize you have never aligned on the big questionsYou are decades in and ready to know your spouse beyond the logisticsNo homework or therapy. Just one honest question at a time, on date night, on a long drive, or a few quiet minutes after the kids are asleep. Research from Dr. John Gottman shows thriving couples are not the ones who agree on everything. They are the ones who build shared meaning.
