Paperback. A Regency Romance Full of Wit, Passion, and a Dash of Chaos!Lady Elizabeth Ashworth has always known how to command attention-from London's glittering ballrooms to society's sharpest scandals. But when a dangerous secret forces her to flee her former life, she does the unthinkable: she feigns amnesia and lands squarely in the path of Lucian Rothwell, the maddeningly proper Earl of Thorncliff. Lucian's world thrives on order, discipline, and rules. But none of those things prepare him for the chaos of Lizzie. From the moment he pulls her from a rain-soaked ravine, her razor-sharp wit and infuriating charm upend his carefully controlled existence. She's not the meek woman she pretends to be-and Lucian is determined to uncover her secrets. For Lizzie, Thorncliff's remote Yorkshire estate is supposed to be a temporary refuge. But with Lucian's storm-gray eyes watching her every move and their fiery clashes igniting sparks that could burn down propriety itself, hiding becomes increasingly impossible. As danger closes in and passions ignite, Lizzie and Lucian must decide: Will they risk everything for the truth-and for each other-or let fear keep them apart? This item is printed on demand. She killed her fiancé. Or so she believes.
Lady Elizabeth Ashworth fled into the Yorkshire moors with blood on her hands and a storm at her back. When she wakes in the arms of Lucian Rothwell, the Earl of Thorncliff, she makes the only choice left to her - she pretends to remember nothing.
Lucian doesn't believe her. She's too sharp, too defiant, too impossibly composed to be the helpless creature she claims. But the bruises ringing her throat tell a story she refuses to speak, and he finds he cannot turn her away.
What begins as reluctant shelter becomes something far more dangerous. She provokes him. He protects her. And every stolen glance, every battle of wits, pulls them closer to a truth that could destroy them both.
Because "Anne" is a lie. And the man she left for dead may not be dead at all.

About the Author
Violet Sinclair writes swoon-worthy Regency romance with a dash of adventure and a whole lot of heart. Splitting her time between the rolling landscapes of Italy and the sun-drenched shores of Florida, she finds inspiration in history, travel, and the occasional glass of wine on a picturesque balcony. When she's not crafting tales of love and longing, she's indulging in her own favorite romances-whether by lounging poolside with a book, wandering through cobblestone streets steeped in history, or dreaming of glittering London ballrooms. She shares her whirlwind life with her husband and their four boys, embracing every adventure, from Disney escapades to camping under the stars.
