About the Author: DERALD WING SUE, PhD, is Professor of Psychology and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University. He is past president of the Society for the Psychological Study of Ethnic Minority Issues (Division 45 of the American Psychological Association) and one of the most cited multicultural scholars in the United States. DAVID SUE, PhD, is Professor of Psychology at Western Washington University. He is currently Director of the Psychology Counseling Clinic and has served as Chairperson of the Mental Health Counseling Program for twelve years. He is an associate of the Center of Cross Cultural Research at Western Washington University.
