Il est principalement connu pour deux de ses romans-feuilletons a caractere social: Les Mysteres de Paris (1842-1843) et Le Juif errant (1844-1845). Extrait: CHAPITRE V. Apres avoir ete chirurgien de la Garde imperiale de Napoleon 1er, puis medecin chef de la maison militaire du roi, il etait professeur d'anatomie et medecin consultant du roi lui-meme. La marraine d'Eugene n'etait autre que Josephine[2] et son parrain Eugene de Beauharnais. Eugene etudie au lycee Condorcet. Il se revele etre un eleve mediocre et turbulent, puis un jeune homme dont les frasques defraient la chronique. En 1821, il abandonne le lycee en classe de rhetorique et grace a son pere est admis sans difficulte comme stagiaire a la Maison militaire du roi. Apres deux ans d'apprentissage il est affecte en 1823 aux hopitaux de la 11e division militaire de Bayonne. La meme annee, il soigne les blesses de la prise de Trocadero. If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
