About the Authors: Madeleine Finlay is a science writer and presenter. She is the producer and co-host of the Guardian's science podcast and has worked for outlets including the BBC and New Scientist. She has master's degrees in Astrophysics and Science Communication, and is interested in everything from space to psychology, medicine, the environment and more!

Tom Dearie grew up in Jersey where he taught himself to draw by copying his favourite Simpsons characters. He studied Fine Art at Falmouth University and a MA in painting at the Royal College of Art. His paintings have been exhibited in London and Berlin. Dearie's illustration work is inspired by a love of weird fiction, manga and cartoons. His short story comic 'F is for Fire' won the Grand Prix at the international festival of comics and games in Poland 2021.
