Inside a magnificent golden watch, every tiny part has a special job. Flash, the proud hands, loves to be seen. Torque, the strong gear, loves to push. Volt, the battery, loves to buzz with energy. But when the loudest parts start arguing over who is the most important, they push too hard and forget about Flex—the tiniest, quietest spring in the watch.
Suddenly, with a loud PING, the watch stops ticking. The gears freeze. The hands stop sweeping. The golden watch becomes completely useless.
In this beautifully illustrated kids book about teamwork, children will discover what happens when we forget to value everyone's contribution. A Watch That Stopped Time is a gentle, engaging story that helps parents and educators with teaching kids respect and showing them that every role matters, no matter how small.
Perfect for readers looking for childrens storybooks ages 6-8, this heartwarming tale is an essential kids book on social emotional learning. It provides a wonderful foundation for kids learning friendship skills and understanding the importance of working together harmoniously.
Why parents and teachers love this book:
- Builds Empathy: A perfect tool for parents wondering how to teach kids empathy through relatable, non-human characters.
- Celebrates Diversity of Skills: An excellent kids book about differences, showing that we don't all need to be the loudest or the strongest to be valuable.
- Engaging Storyline: Captivates young readers with beautiful illustrations and a clear, easy-to-understand metaphor about community and belonging.
- Bonus Story Included: Includes a special bonus story, The Day Crystal Lost Its Shine, continuing the adventures of the watch's tiny team!
If you want to help your child understand that small does not mean unimportant, and that true strength comes from working together, this book is for you.
