Paperback. You didn't stumble into God's vineyard by accident. You were placed there, and the ground was prepared long before you arrived. The hedge is set. The tower is built. The winepress is dug. The provision is complete. So why does so much of the modern church still produce leaves instead of fruit? In The Wicked Vinedressers, Dr. Douglas Reece takes readers deep into Jesus's parable from Luke 20 and Mark 12, the haunting story of tenant farmers who beat the owner's servants and murdered his son rather than surrender what was never theirs. It is one of the most direct warnings Jesus ever gave, aimed squarely at religious people who mistook proximity to God for faithfulness to Him.This book exposes the quiet drift from gratitude to ownership, from negligence to hostility, that can take root in the heart of any believer, pastor, or church leader who has been inside the hedge long enough to stop noticing it. Chapter by chapter, Reece walks readers through the Lavish Grace Protocol, the escalating dangers of unrepented sin, the collision with the rejected Cornerstone, and the practical, day-by-day stewardship plan that moves a Christian from consuming the vineyard's resources to faithfully working them for the Owner's glory.Grounded in Scripture and written for maturing believers, pastors, and church leaders who want more than theological theory, this book offers a clear, sobering, and ultimately hopeful answer to one question: when the Master comes to inspect the vineyard, what will He find in you?Inside, you'll discover: Why fruitlessness is never a resource problem, and what it actually isThe three provisions God has already placed in your hands and how to audit your use of themHow unrepented sin escalates from passive neglect to active hostilityThe two ways to respond to the rejected Cornerstone and why there is no third optionA five-step Stewardship Plan you can begin today, including the Title Deed Surrender and the Daily Inspection PrayerThe owner has done his part with extraordinary generosity.
