12pp. Late 18th century manuscript treatise on the Moslem religion. The author, probably a classicist, appears to have been a traveller in Mediterranean regions, and deeply interested in the plight of Greece and, therefore, of their then overlords. His attempt to understand the Turks included this account of their religion, since he considered their 'polity' to be entirely ecclesiastical. This '15th letter' is unfortunately incomplete, and it is not possible to say how much is missing. A fair copy with a very few alterations. Seller Inventory # 000146
