Add to basketCooking with Elizabeth Craig by Elizabeth Craig. Published by Collins Clear-Type Press, London and Glasgow, circa 1930s/1940s. This comprehensive 402-page culinary volume is bound in the publisher's original red limp cloth covers, uniquely textured and stamped with gold typography on the front panel. It stands as an excellent showcase of traditional, mid-century British home cooking, featuring everything from simple family savouries to sophisticated entertaining dishes by one of the era's most revered domestic authorities.
The book is in fair to good condition, showing honest wear consistent with decades of kitchen use. The red limp cloth covers are visibly faded, rubbed, and stained, with soft creasing to the flexible corners. The cloth covering the spine is heavily frayed at the crown and foot, lifting slightly away from the backstrip mesh, though the stitched binding remains securely attached inside. The internal 402 pages show standard vintage age-toning and occasional light thumbing marks but are entirely complete, securely bound, and free of heavy writing or obscured text. A highly authentic, complete reference copy of a classic British cookbook.
