Nurses constantly encounter complex patient care situations in palliative care. What nurses often say they need most is the advice or support of a colleaguea curbside consultation with an experienced nursing colleague who can listen to their questions and help them think about the options. This book is the next best thing to a curbside consultant. It is a collection of common clinical problems that are of great concern to nurses as they struggle to provide the most competent and compassionate care possible to their patients. The advice provided in this book is not only evidence based, it is nurse tested, written by palliative experts who have years of experience at the curbside, providing palliative care, and mentoring interdisciplinary colleagues.
