Item description from seller

Folio. 36cm. Lettered Edition "CC" Limited to 50 Copies only. Housed in a black and grey cloth folding case by the Élan Bindery. 33pp.;[4]. Text booklet accompanying a suite of 12 mounted photographs signed by Lance Hidy to the versos. Very little wear to any of the component pieces. A fine copy of a very scarce portfolio. Brief essays by three Cistercian monks including the justly well-known Thomas Merton, together with contributions from members of the Holy Cross community, form a meditative text entitled "The Experience." Through its combination of written reflection and photographic imagery, the work intends to bring the reader to engage more deeply with the landscape, rhythms, and contemplative character of Cistercian monastic life. Almost invisible in trade and auction records, and with a scant showing in OCLC.…
