SON MUCHOS, Y ATREVIDOS, los autores que auguraron que la realidad superaría a la ficción. Y no estaban tan mal encaminados. Es en los insólitos e inauditos tiempos que corren cuando logramos percibir que no hay mayor ficción como la narración de la propia realidad. Es más, hemos aprendido a prescindir a escala mayor del elemento que ha marcado el desarrollo histórico y cultural: la socialización.
La nueva edición de Contrapuntos buscaba en su inicio ficciones de inter-sociabilidad, de movilidad y de prácticas inter-seccionales que acentuaran la irreversible globalidad para así lograr una línea continuista con ediciones anteriores, y, al mismo tiempo, desmarcarse en el trato del tejido textual por su carácter lúdico e interactivo, aunque fuere tangencialmente. Sin embargo, la experimentación definitoria del desarrollo humano a la que el pensador holandés Johan Huizinga se le ocurrió acuñar ni más ni menos como ludens - participio presente latino para "el que juega" - se truncó recientemente en favor de patiens - o "el que sufre", en su sentido individual y colectivo. Y si bien Contrapuntos VIII inició su carrera con otra mira en mente, las circunstancias han llevado a esta nueva edición a proponer un texto curatorial que responde al anhelo de ese espacio social y comunitario de convivencia.
Como ha venido siendo habitual en años anteriores, Contrapuntos VIII se aventura con una curaduría fotográfica de mano de Indira Yadira Ariana García Varela. En esta octava edición, la sección fotográfica incluye el trabajo de Eunice Adorno, fotógrafa mexicana que transforma su producción artística en un comentario crítico a su respectiva orientación social e histórica. Bajo una selección de parámetros y conceptos fotográficos de diversa índole, el trabajo de Eunice enfatiza la concordia y formaliza su narrativa acorde a un espacio de codificación artística y de teatralidad escénica colectiva que impulsa de forma contundente una llamada hacia la descentralización del desarrollo histórico.
De seguido, la sección literaria entrelaza una selecta gama de géneros, estilos y temáticas que en conjunto consiguen erigir la díscola miríada moral y ética, ora para bien o para mal, que rodea a todo comportamiento, actitud y decisión que nos encargamos de ejecutar y que, a menudo, impacta nuestra capacidad de socializar. La poesía matemática y científica de Radoslav Rochallyi nos reitera la inefabilidad de cada acto, la incerteza e inseguridad a la que nos enfrentamos cotidianamente. A decir verdad, ni la ciencia se pone de acuerdo. Esta incerteza de a dónde nos dirigimos la acentúa la poesía de Ashley A. Arnold mediante el tono reactivo y de denuncia que visibiliza con claridad su voz poética. Una poética visual que activiza al sujeto de habla y que, por coincidencia o no, polariza el yo y el nosotros, con el otro y los aquellos. Junto con ellos, Yuan Hongri, y las traducciones de Manu Mangattu y Yuanbing Zhang, apuestan por una poesía más narrativa y distante, considerablemente anclada en la ensoñación positivista que tan necesaria se hace en nuestra era. Escaparse del arraigo que ostentamos de nosotros mismos es a veces la mejor manera de soñar. Y efectivamente es esta la libertad, mas a la vez la peligrosidad de las letras, a la que Francisco Álvarez Koki alude en la pieza final.

Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.
Information regarding the right of withdrawal
Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to GreatBookPrices, Bensenville, Illinois, U.S.A., without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
- The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
