Print on Demand. This book is a vivid depiction of the impact a single event can have on two young hearts, and the ways in which it shapes the course of their lives. In 19th-century rural France, a young doctor named Julien Prugnot rescues a girl named Thà rà se from a river, an act that kindles a deep affection between them. However, when Julien expresses his desire to marry Thà rà se, he's met with strong opposition from her wealthy father, who has other plans for his daughter. The author explores themes of love, duty, and the ways in which external forces can shape our destinies, painting a rich and moving portrait of a time when social conventions often clashed with the yearnings of the heart. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.
