La nostra storia inizia da "Archivio Immaginazione", una piattaforma di scrittura creativa per scrittori ed artisti emergenti
nata a marzo 2020, durante il primo lockdown, da un’idea di Anna e Filippo Toscano. Qui ci siamo incontrati virtualmente e abbiamo deciso di unire le nostre penne in un progetto comune. Questa raccolta, infatti, nasce dalla sfida che ci siamo
posti di scrivere otto storie diverse sullo stesso macro-tema: l’empatia.
“Non esiste mondo che non possa addentrarsi in quello di qualcun altro”.
Questa frase rappresenta noi e il senso più profondo della raccolta: ci fa capire che il nostro mondo vale nell'esatta misura in cui riesce a percepire e, perché no, a fare suo quello di qualcun altro.Il contatto fisico, di cui siamo stati così duramente privati durante la pandemia, ci ha portati a riponderare le nostre forze, a rivalutare i legami autentici, a cercare un modo, nonostante tutto, di vincere la nostra solitudine. E qual è il modo migliore di farlo, se non stringendo una sincera collaborazione artistica, che abbatte ogni distanza fisica e temporale?
Ecco che si sono unite più menti e più energie nella composizione di questa raccolta di otto racconti, che indagano come le relazioni sociali siano mutate in quest'ultimo periodo: è stata proprio la distanza, l’assenza di contatto a consentirci un'evoluzione, di sviluppare un’amplificata capacità empatica.
In un mondo immaginario post-pandemico, a cavallo tra l'utopia e la distopia, l'ucronia e la discronia, tra il realismo magico e la narrativa weird, i nostri personaggi si passano il testimone vivendo esistenze parallele, che però si incrociano in diversi punti. Forse, quando non c’è contatto, quando più universi non si toccano, non è perché sono distanti uno dall’altro, ma perché vivono ciascuno dentro l’altro: semplicemente cessano di avere confini e sfociano nella smisuratezza del reale e dell’immaginario.
L'empatia trascende non solo gli illusori limiti del corpo, ma anche i delicati contorni dell’anima: è nell’altro che riconosciamo e ritroviamo noi stessi. Ma l’esigenza dell’altro non si esprime solo nel contatto, nell’amore e nella comprensione: anche il conflitto, il confronto e lo scontro con l’altro sono parte del nostro bisogno delle persone intorno a noi. Cosa accade quando, in completo isolamento, non ci viene a mancare solo il sostegno di chi amiamo, ma anche la possibilità di esprimere il conflitto con l’altro? Cosa accade ad emozioni forti e necessarie come la rabbia se inespresse, racchiuse nella solitudine?
Tutto questo viene affrontato in punta di piedi e allo stesso tempo con la forza di un uragano in questa raccolta, per raccontare non solo cosa accade dopo la pandemia, ciò che stiamo vivendo adesso, ma anche e soprattutto quello che potrebbe accadere tra cent'anni o più, anche solo nell'immaginazione individuale o collettiva.
È nella condivisione il nostro vero stato d’essere, così abbiamo constatato, come esseri umani, che era la situazione precedente questa trasformazione ad essere innaturale, perché eravamo completamente sconnessi e distanti gli uni dagli altri. Un albero non resiste alla tempesta con la forza dei suoi rami, ma in base a quanto le sue radici sono radicate nella Terra. E sono proprio le radici dei rapporti umani che salveranno il mondo.
Allora “che cosa succede se il contatto non c’è?”. Semplice: “Ci si evolve”.

Right of withdrawal
If you are a consumer you can withdraw from the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.
Information regarding the right of withdrawal
Statutory right to withdraw
You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". We will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a withdrawal on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal
If you withdraw from this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to withdraw from this contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to GreatBookPrices, Bensenville, Illinois, U.S.A., without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your withdrawal from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions to the right of withdrawal
The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
- The delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
- The supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not withdraw once delivery had started.
