Print on Demand. This book is the first to assert that consumption is curable and seeks to prove the idea with theory and real-life success stories. The book's author practices what he preaches and includes case studies from his own practice. The book's ideas stand in stark opposition to the majority of medical professionals who claim consumption to be incurable. The author posits that misdiagnoses and improper treatment lead to a dire outcome. Further, that these errors can be corrected and the true path toward healing can then begin. If the theories in this book are correct, and the case studies provided prove it, then this book could change the view of consumption and its treatment forever. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.

The division of tendons for the cure of deform ity, was looked upon - but a few years ago as an operation impossible; but after Belpech had cut the tendo-achillis, and cured club foot, the division of tendons was soon considered not only safe, but indispensable for the cure of deformity. Dr. Matter, Of our City, is now almost daily performing this Operation with perfect success. Dr. Togno, however, deserves, in my Opinion, the credit of introducing this Operation to Phila delphians.
