About the Author: Léon Degrelle était un homme politique belge, journaliste et ancien leader du mouvement rexiste en Belgique. Il est né le 15 juin 1906 et est décédé le 31 mars 1994. Degrelle est surtout connu pour son rôle dans la fondation et le leadership du mouvement rexiste, un mouvement politique belge d'inspiration fasciste et nationaliste fondé dans les années 1930. Sous sa direction, le rexisme est devenu l'un des mouvements politiques les plus influents en Belgique avant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Pendant la guerre, Degrelle et le mouvement rexiste ont collaboré avec l'occupant nazi allemand, et Degrelle lui-même a rejoint la Waffen-SS, servant sur le front de l'Est. Il a atteint le grade de SS-Standartenführer (colonel) et a été décoré de nombreuses médailles allemandes. Après la guerre, Degrelle a fui en Espagne, où il a vécu en exil jusqu'à sa mort.
