Paperback. Richard MacArthur, MD, understands the power poetry has to reflect life in all its joy, love, and unexpected pain. In Some More Connections, MacArthur's third book of verse, he digs deep into his personal life to produce a new collection of poignant, powerful poems. MacArthur's verses run the gamut of human emotions, from the sweetest phases of love to the challenges of dealing with a debilitating disease. No subject is too small or too grand to escape MacArthur's pen-he jumps effortlessly from the loss of a beloved pet to pride in his country's history and from memories of his medical training to the miracle of new life. To read MacArthur's poems is to open yourself to your own memories, experiences, and emotions. He reminds readers of the simple joys of life as well as disappointments, triumphs, heartaches, and wonder. Written in MacArthur's trademark style-short, punchy lines of evocative free verse-Some More Connections follows in the poetic footsteps of his earlier works, Connections and More Connections. Fans will find poems at once familiar in tone and varied in subject, while new readers will delight in the discovery of a poet who dares to share his deepest feelings. This item is printed on demand.
