NF/0/Reprint-1973 UNC. Emphasis is placed in this study on the development of the original and imperfect plans of operation abroad into a new plan which compares favorably with any achievement of the Confederate Government. This new plan involved centralization and rigid governmental control of the purchasing agents, of the shipment of cotton, of finance and blockade running. This study raises the unanswerable question--would the war have ended in Southern defeat if the New Plan had been adopted one year earlier? Book Condition is Near Fine; light gray cloth over boards with black lettering on spine. 137pp. Reprint of the 1935 First Edition by University of North Carolina. Chapter notes, bibliography and index. Uncommon book. Some light spots (loss of color) on cloth near page foredge. Otherwise Fine. No markings or soiling. Solid copy. Size: Small.
