Paperback. There is a room that behaves like a pause and a life that resumes without asking permission; numbers appear, conversations begin mid-thought, and two people-Christopher and Shannon-find themselves arranging around each other as if proximity were a kind of answer, as if becoming slightly less distinct might make staying easier; outside and inside trade places, other couples perform something cleaner, more finished, and the difference lingers like a mistake that won't correct itself; what grows between them is not quite love and not quite escape, but something that holds just enough to keep them from leaving, even as it quietly edits them into versions that fit; from Bo Landry (author of Sundowning and Father Garbage), The Concrete Is Calling And We Must Go is a novel that questions and explores the fragile boundary between intimacy and erasure, and the strange, persistent instinct to remain where you are no longer entirely yourself. THE CONCRETE IS CALLING AND WE MUST GO This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…
