Comprising a series of condensed treatises on the different branches of the law, with detailed directions, forms and precedents. An alphabetical dictionary of technical law terms and maxims, and a collection of words that have received a special judicial construction. The whole illustrated by references to the principal cases in equity, and in the Scotch, American, and Irish reports, and the most eminent text writers. Simpkin, Marshall and Co., 1861-1864. Six vols. Second edition, re-modelled and nearly rewritten. Each vol has about 600 pages. Contemp half tan calf, raised bands, contrasting red and black title labels, gilt, marbled bds. Two lower labels missing, hinges cracked on two vols, one bd nearly detached, marbled bds unevenly faded, darkening of spines through being too near the fire. A Good set only, but uncommon.
