Also accounts of the installations of the Garter, Bath, Thistle and St.Patrick and the correct lists of the Knights of each. To which is added the ancient ceremonies used at Duels, Combats, Justs and Tournaments. Volume One, x, 285pp. Volume Two, 268pp. The whole embellished with 82 copper plates. The village of Farningham has iron age origins, with much Roman settlement, and is today still predominantly 18th century in character. The shop is named after Wadard, one of Farningham's Domesday landlords, a henchman of Bishop Odo, William the Conquerers brother,and featured on the Bayeaux tapestry.
