New techniques such as the shear wave velocity techniques, electrical methods, and ground penetrating radar have potential for providing new, reliable information. Results presented in these papers collectively demonstrate that these new techniques should be given serious consideration for predicting the liquefaction behavior of saturated sands during earthquakes.
