Synopsis:

A text which illustrates for chemists the ways in which they can use computers as tools to help with their work. It argues that they can process, store and retrieve data with increased efficiency with the use of computers. Once use of the machine is mastered, the book goes on to demonstrate how useful computing can be to the pursuit of chemistry. It shows how to assess results by processing data, recorded from experiments, by means of instant calculations which, before the "computer age" were complex and time-consuming. The book highlights the changes computers, the use of which may be essential within 20 years, are bringing to the pursuit of chemistry. The book is intended to be used as a reference for retrieval of programs specific to given areas.
