Dr. Yasir Nawab is a renowned scholar and researcher with a remarkable career that has had a significant impact on textile science and engineering, particularly in the textile industry. His influence is felt all over the world, providing the academic community with a plethora of knowledge and experience. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, and a Tenured Professor at National Textile University in Faisalabad, Pakistan.

Over a ten-year career, Dr. Nawab's creative leadership has played a critical role in reshaping academic environments. His dedication to promoting academic achievement is demonstrated by his strategic direction, supervision of academic programs, and development of collaborative research environments. As a thought leader, he has authored more than 170 journal publications, edited more than 10 books, directed more than ten PhDs, and made a substantial contribution to the fields of textiles and composite materials. With more than 50 conference papers to his credit, he has further expanded his influence and solidified his position as a leading worldwide authority in research.

As Co-Chairman of the Pakistan Circular Textile Platform and Mentor in the Fashion for Good Innovation Program, Dr. Nawab's dedication to sustainability is evident. His support of environmentally beneficial techniques is demonstrated by his involvement in consulting initiatives. S.M. Sapuan is a Professor (Grade “A”) of composite materials in the Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, at the Universiti Putra Malaysia. He is also the former Head of the Advanced Engineering Materials and Composites Research Centre (AEMC) at UPM. He attained his BEng in mechanical engineering from the University of Newcastle, in Australia and then went on to receive his MSc in engineering design and PhD in materials engineering, from De Montfort University in the UK. He is a Professional Engineer and a Fellow of many professional societies, including the Society of Automotive Engineers; the Academy of Science Malaysia; the International Society for Development and Sustainability; the World Academy of Sciences; the Plastic and Rubber Institute Malaysia (PRIM); the Malaysian Scientific Association and the Institute of Materials Malaysia. He is an Honorary Member and past Vice President of the Asian Polymer Association and Founding Chairman and Honorary Member of The Society of Sugar Palm Development and Industry, Malaysia. During the course of his career, he has produced over 2500 publications, including 989 journal papers, 68 books and 246 book chapters.

Dr. Khubab Shaker is an Assistant Professor and Chairman of the Department of Materials at National Textile University, Pakistan. He earned his doctoral degree in 2018 from the same institution, focusing on textile fabric reinforced composite materials. He further refined his expertise through postdoctoral studies at the University of Leoben, Austria, specializing in the processing of composite materials. With over 14 years of experience, Dr. Shaker has established himself as a leading expert in the processing and characterization of composite materials, including areas such as residual stresses, thermomechanical characterization, multilayer/3D woven reinforcements, auxetic materials, natural fibers, woven structures, and green composites.
