About the Author

Fernando Quintanar holds a degree in psychology and gerontology from the University of Salamanca in Spain and a doctorate degree in psychology from the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is the author of five books about old age and suicide and is the coordinator of a program about the psychology of aging, thanatology, and suicide at the Facultad de Estudios Superiores Iztacala within UNAM.
