Complete set of this highly important only complete edition of the Works of George Orwell. Volumes 1 through 9 comprise the fiction, originally published 1986-7, reprinted for this edition in 1997. Volumes 10 through 20 comprise the Letters, Diaries, Reviews etc., published 1998. Books are unused. Dustwrapper to Volume 16 is a FACSIMILE. The other dustwrappers show some rubbing from storage but are otherwise undamaged. An excellent and highly desirable set. Seller Inventory # 202492

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. Complete in 20 volumes. Secker & Warburg, 1997 (Vols 1-9) & 1998 (Vols. 10-20); all volumes first printings (thus) with full number lines. Royal blue cloth bindings with silver foil titling on spines and blue ribbon page markers, in uniform jackets. Bindings are sturdy, and square; very minor wear to edges of boards, titling remains bright and bold; text crisp and unmarked throughout set; light scuffing to front edge of a few volumes. A few jackets show some small tears at edges, else wear is very minor; all jackets arrive wrapped in protective mylar. Authoritative and complete, editor Peter Davison has "incorporated Orwell's many textual changes as well as restoring his original intention where the hands of others have intervened."
