Orig. purple blind stamped cloth. 217 pp., [23 pp. ads]. B&W line illustrations in text. Previously rebacked with original spine laid down. Sunning and offset panels to boards, rubbing to extremities, small chips to head of joints. Cracking to hinges. Ink ownership inscription of Mildred Martin to head of title page. Chipping to tail edge of first 16 pages. Interior age toned. "I trust that in the following pages the reader will find every thing that the present state of science calls for, and that the suggestions may prove of great practical advantage; which I think they will do, as every thing is given in the shortest and plainest manner.
