Pigeons are a type of domesticated bird that have been bred and raised by humans for centuries. They are known for their gentle nature, intelligence, and adaptability.
One of the main reasons for raising pigeons is for their meat, which is considered a delicacy in many cultures. Pigeon meat is lean, tender, and rich in protein, making it a popular choice among health-conscious consumers. Additionally, pigeons are also valued for their eggs, which are used in cooking and baking.
Apart from their use as a source of food, pigeons are also bred for their feathers, which are often used for making pillows, quilts, and other handicrafts. Some breeds of pigeons, known as fancy pigeons, are raised for their unique physical characteristics and are often showcased in exhibitions and shows.
