The Complete Nextcloud Guide by Ethan A.A. Sterling is an 18-chapter user guide that walks you from the basic question of what a private cloud actually is through to installing, running, and maintaining your own Nextcloud server. You'll learn how to set up a Linux server, install Nextcloud from the ground up, sync files across every device you own, share and collaborate with others, and manage calendars, contacts, and communication tools, all under your own control.
No prior server experience is required, only patience and a willingness to follow instructions. The book explains every technical term the moment it comes up, from PHP extensions to reverse proxies, and builds steadily from first principles to the administrator-level skills you'll need for users and permissions, security, backups, and troubleshooting. Later chapters cover advanced configuration for remote access and external storage, so the guide grows with you as your needs do. By the end, you won't just have Nextcloud installed. You'll understand how it works well enough to run it confidently for years.
If you're ready to stop trusting your files to someone else's servers and start hosting your own private cloud, this guide gives you the complete, step-by-step path to get there. Get your copy of The Complete Nextcloud Guide today and take back control of your data.
