Since the tragic events of 9/11/01, when the names "Iraq" and "Saddam Hussein" come up, one question arises: "Will we or won't we?" The question pertains, of course, to whether or not the USA will invade this Middle Eastern country either now or in the future during the war on terrorism in an effort to overthrow or, if necessary, destroy Saddam Hussein once and for all. The Complete Idiot's Guide® to Iraq will cover, in painstaking detail, the history of this middle eastern country, second only to Egypt as the "cradle of civilization." The rise to power of the dreaded Saddam Hussein is documented, as well as the Iran-Iraq war of the early 1980s, and Iraq's shift away from the west. The Complete Idiot's Guide® to Iraq will cover 8000-plus years of Middle Eastern history, in an uncomplicated and entertaining style.
Joseph Tragert is currently the principal and co-founder of the Massachusetts-based North Ridge Associates, an international consulting firm.
